My Day (in a Nutshell)

Middle child: “I know a song that gets on everybody’s nerves.”

Pause.

“I’ll sing it.”

PS. And it’s raining.

I loved that song as a kid

I have no idea what the commenters song is . . . is it a midwest thing? BUT, I bust out laughing! Oh my! Hi-larious!!! It's like when my Teenie starts screeching at the dog. It's so bloody annoying! But, oddly funny at the same time.

My daughters keep singing the Hannah Montana song "party in the USA". Could it be that annoying?

Yes, the rain limits the options … to food and generally loud activities. I've acquiesed and given in to the TV this afternoon.

Oh, I am glad someone recognized it (Allison)! My older children know it from the (late) Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop show that used to be on PBS. My younger children all seem to know it, too… always fun while trapped in the van! 🙂

My husband knows that song so when I read Annita's comment, the song started in my head.

It's been raining all day here.

And again. Welcome to my life. Except with us, it's whistling.

But the sun shone today :o)

You're not going to tell us what the song is, are you?
