Artistry

Jem & Felicity wanted me to sew them a couple of teddy bears. I dragged my feet for a day or two but finally I relented.
Artistry

Don’t say it.

Don’t you dare even say it.

How did you make them look "pre-loved?" (ya know, like cars now are pre-owned, not used)

Looks like they have already been loved. I'm sure your children appreciated you taking the time to make them. Good mommy.

    HAHAHA!!

    Margaret…I love you.

Yep. That's humility, and I am going to say it…

    Way to teach us!

BTW: I bet your girls were thrilled. It always amazes me the way I see things and the way they do…

Ya know, those are going to be the kids' favorite stuffed animal for years. They'll be a family heirloom that's passed down to the next generation (and no, I'm not saying that in jest). The things we take the time to make by hand are the most treasured … as they should be.

You're braver than I am, Margaret. I've been thinking about trying to make a doll dress for a naked doll for more than a year. And just don't dare to try for fear of failure. I should jump in an just do it. She'll love it no matter what the imperfections.

Margaret, I think they are wonderful and I'm sure that your girls are really excited. Love the fact that kids see things in a different light—-like Kimberly said. Isn't it great! Definite treasures. Cheri

    Melanie,
Can't wait to hear when you make the clothes. Jump in, nothing has to be perfect. I bet she will love it and appreciate it even more like you said. Jump!:) Cheri

That's way better than I could do.

I have to simply sew a little strap onto Aslynn's ballet shoes and I think I'm going to have to outsource it. 🙂

    You are great, Margaret!

It's not in the execution of the project, but the love behind it. Okay, maybe there should be an execution – of the bears

I think anything that requires sewing deserves applause. Period. End of post. Cue the applause. 🙂
