Before and After

June 1, 2009 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Minnesota Me, Motherhood, New Baby, Pregnancy 16 Comments

Subtitled: What a difference half a day makes!

These photos were taken on the day that I had Anthony. They seem ever so much smaller on the outside, don’t they? My nurse was named Kristi and she was really sweet. I’ll write more about her later when I tell the rest of the story.

Assuming you still want to hear it.

PS. Yes, I was really that huge.

I don't think you look huge at all. I think we feel huge, but you just look like a cute pregnant woman. πŸ™‚

    Cute baby too.

You don't look huge, you look beautiful…waiting to hear, as that dear man Paul Harvey used to say,

    "the rest of the story…"

Oh what fun! I love the before picture especially. How neat to have one taken on the birth day.

I don't think he looks all that small. Or maybe you just had a tiny nurse?

Can't wait to hear that birth story. I always love a good birth story.

You look beautiful! – And you looked wonderful when I saw you at the conference on Saturday. I was oh-so happy that I saw you and got to meet little Anthony Joseph Mary. – I am amazed that you made it there after having a baby just days earlier. You are a dedicated momma! God bless you – and your newest little guy, Margaret!

LOL! I didn’t think you looked “huge” at all, but I was really surprised at how much your hair changed!! πŸ™‚

Both you and your baby are beautiful. (And the nurse is lovely, too.) Congratulations!

My question was not going to be “were you really that huge?” but “were you really that beautiful?” It doesn’t seem fair to be 9 months pregnant and look that gorgeous.

It was so nice to finally meet you!! I breezed on over to the conference from a day full of baseball games to shop and hear a speaker on Saturday afternoon. You were feeding sweet Anthony and were getting ready to leave. I’m so glad our paths crossed!! πŸ™‚ I can be a lurker no longer!! We enjoyed our stay and my son took 4th in the tournament! Wonderful week-end! Will look forward to reading about Anthony’s special birthday!! Hope you are enjoying your “babymoon.” As we know, it goes by way too quickly!

ps…I don’t think you look huge either. Must be a good camera angle! πŸ™‚

Sometimes when I share a birth story with a girlfriend, my husband will say – “Honey, they really don’t want to hear blow by blow what you went through”…ha ha ha ha – he is SUCH a MAN! Of course they want to hear it blow by blow, just as we wait to hear your story, Margaret!

I guess I think the same thing when the men are recounting, blow by blow, the game they just watched. And then read about online. And then read about in the newspaper. πŸ™‚

    Vive le difference!
