The Final Push

May 22, 2009 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Blogging, Minnesota Me, Special Events 13 Comments

Ha. I had you there for a minute, didn’t I?

I am actually referring to the Cannonball Catholic Blog awards. Given that I have little other to do these days than read your birth stories (which are great, incidentally, if not terrifying) and sit here with my fat Vienna sausage feet propped up in a chair…

…I thought that I might check the numbers.

I’m. Still. Losing.

And polls close tomorrow.

So.

If you have a minute, please go vote for your “Underappreciated Blog” of choice. (Here’s the link.) It’s as easy as (humble) pie and requires no registration.

Plus if I win, I’ll name my baby after you.

All for the greater glory of God,

I voted for you a few days ago Margaret, but can I vote again??? BTW – today is the day I picked for your baby’s b-day. Are you feeling like this might be the big day? Prayers for you and your little one. Happy Feast of St. Rita of Cascia!

You’re sweet, Lauri, but no. One vote per friend is all I’d ask.

(You can, however, offer up as many prayers for this delivery as you can muster!)

I just voted for you. I do have a Mary-themed name…so those are always good! Just kidding! God Bless and many prayers! (Even though my lottery pick isn’t until May 31st – I won’t feel bad if you go earlier). I guess I will just have to buy the book on my own! God Bless! – Marie

I voted and you are ahead now by almost 40 (can’t take credit for more than my vote, though)…
GL and wouldn’t it be nice to get this award AND a baby??? Oh wait, you ARE getting a baby soon…

    Like I don’t know…

Thanks Sarah! I did go back and vote again & you're winning Margaret! Since it is St. Rita's Feast Day I'll pray to her for a safe delivery for you and the wee one. Peace.

Ha! Losing in the “Underappreciated Blog” category? It’s kind of ironic, isn’t it?

Congratulations – I never believed I had a chance in catching you, but 3rd looks promising.

Your vote in Hifreakinlarious would be appreciated, though! 🙂

You really, really don’t want to name your child after me, my IRL name is horrific, but I was certainly pleased to vote for you anyway.

I tried to vote earlier and my computer kicked me out. I’ll keep trying. 🙂
