We’d tucked the kids in and were talking quietly.
Joe going off to school next year…colleges…how to encourage religious vocations among our children.
The themes were heavy—perhaps too heavy for my tired mind on a Friday.
I needed cocoa.
As I was about to whisk up some Nestlé Quik and milk, my husband joined me in the kitchen. “Would you like to try this?” he asked, tossing a pretty foil packet on the counter. “We were given these in a gift basket at work.”
Chocolat chaud, the packet read.
Godiva cocoa.
I would.
I did.
I’m happy.
Good night.

A friend of mine gave me a tin of the dark chocolate godiva cocoa and two mugs for Christmas. I have always kept a tin of the milk chocolate cocoa on hand – I know, I’m a snob! But, being military, we can buy that tall tin for $10! so it doesn’t really “kill” our budget all that much. Anyway, if you don’t get to endulge in it much, LUCKY YOU!! Glad things are all good there. Stay warm!

Is Joe going off to school next year? I’m sure you’ve found a great one to send him to!
Your cocoa sounds delightful!

I’ve got a delicious and easy recipe for hot chocolate. I’ll just say it involves chocolate chips… 😉 My children won’t even drink powdered hot chocolate–we’re all snobs here!
