My children play endless hours of pretend, and I never know—from one moment to the next—what character (or creature) they’re embodying.
I wasn’t even aware of this particular game until I saw the sign the following morning:

or rabbits
allowed

or rabbits

dogs allowed
maybe mice
maybe cats
maybe monkeys
It makes me wonder just how much I miss.
We had to institute one make believe rule. No telling anyone what they have to be!
