Or at least, they were when this photo was taken.
My husband was setting up the tripod when I made a mad dash upstairs to change. “You can’t leave!” he hollered, but I was back in a flash minus the oversize t-shirt and baggy sweats. I am sadly lacking in humility, you see, though my lack of make-up should count for something.
Anyway, my friend and her family are gone but not forgotten. The butterfly clip that Helen was wearing on Tuesday…Allister’s old-fashioned metal pencil case…the itty bitty pair of Ian pants that I found at the bottom of the hamper…all of this is a reminder to us that the house is suddenly a whole lot quieter.

What a beautiful gang — looks like you had a lot of fun together. Thank God for good friends!
You look great — embrace the no-make up thing. All the stars are doing it, don’t you know? Well, not really, but they do appear, airbrushed and fake eyelash-less in People now and then. Not that I read People …
And is that Faith & Family I see in the background? I think I'd know that Got Monks? ad anywhere.

Beautiful picture. I’m so glad you all had such a good time. It is hard to say goodbye. Every time we leave Baton Rouge, it breaks our heart in two.
