The hu’band and I went to Hancock last night.
Amazingly enough, I liked it.
Funny, crass, surprising, clever, and quite politically incorrect, Hancock is a good date movie if you (and your date) are willing to let yourself believe the completely unbelievable.
Which, when you think about it, is what we’re asked to do for most movies.
There are a couple of scenes near the end (and one near the beginning in a prison) that may concern you. It’s a violent film—be warned. It’s also warm, and witty, and it’s got Will Smith.
What more could you want?
We liked it.
A cinema lover through and through,
*Note to Parents: I would not recommend this movie for anyone under 17. I mean that. When it’s crass it’s really crass…and when it’s violent, same thing.

On the flip side, my hubby and sons went to see Journey to the Center of the Earth last night and report that it’s a total suspension of disbelief ~ but very kid friendly. Nice to have those out there, too!

I really like Will Smith too. We were trying to decide between this movie and Batman for our “date” this weekend. I think Batman won, Batman is just better on the big screen than on the tv.
Thanks for the review though, I know we will see when it comes out!
Glad your hu’band is home safe!

My husband and I enjoy Will Smith as well, even though he is into Scientology. 🙁 “I Am Legend” has been our latest favorite of his. We are very excited about the new Batman movie! Big fans of that!
