It feels a lot like Lent around here.
- I haven’t had a decent cup of coffee since, well, since Sunday.
- I have been staring at that bowl of M&Ms—you know, the one with all the blue & gold M&Ms picked out—and it keeps staring back at me.
- I left my Magnificat magazine and my In Conversation with God in the Adoration Chapel after my holy hour on Sunday. These two little books are my primary means of Lenten devotion and I feel lost without them.
- I am not lost. I am loved. For some reason (unknown to me) I pulled this book off the shelf and have been studying the book of Isaiah. “Our salvation is through the coming of the Messiah,” I read. “We have turned, every one of us, to our own way, but God sends His servant to take away our sins (Isaiah 53). All who acknowledge their sins and trust in Him will be delivered.”
Sometimes all we need to do is lose the old things in order for God to replace them with the new.

It’s a LOT like Lent at our house too!! Good thing, or we’d be thinking we were in charge or something! Isaish has a way of bringing things right to the forefront, it’s one of my favorite books in the Bible! Hugs!

Um, I can spell Isaiah, usually after my first cup of joe 😉

I compassionate with you on the coffee and m&m withdrawal. Totally. Praying for as good an inspiration to get through it!
