See if you can name the following household items.
You’re thinking these are books and magazines
to be set aside for later perusal, correct?
Wrong! These are highly suspicious documents
and need to be shredded as soon as possible.

And finally, you don’t want to know what this is,
but in the name of honesty & “real” blogging, I will tell you anyway.
It’s a target. A cute little unsuspecting target.

I think you need to keep her in the crate until she learns what is and is not okay!

Actually Paula, this IS when she’s in the crate. You should see the stuff she gets into when she’s outside of it. 😉

Maybe a crate inside of a crate?? 🙂 Our neighbor’s two labs ate 3 holes in their kitchen sheetrock wall….before they destroyed the back door…Our lab only ate a weight lifting bench, and a storm door, and part of the trampoline. I’ve decided the day our dog dies I will bury her with tears and smiles and NEVER get another one!!

Our dog (who really knows better) found a target today — a sweet little lower leg that luckily had blue jeans on. No broken skin, but a nasty bruise. Bad dog! The problem with a herding dog is that a kid on a bike looks much like something to be herded. She spent much of the day in her crate!!
You are not alone, Margaret.
Anybody want a Corgi?
Jamie says
At least you still have a sense of humor!? The post was pretty funny, for us non dog people!

Baby gates also work for puppies. But I’m sure you know that already.
And you mentioned a Kong so she has her own toys. Funny, dogs and kids would rather play with someone else’s toys instead of their own. Keep training her, loving her and in a few short months she’ll grow up and be less destructive.
