Well, on the last day it’s always worth it.
- Worth the early wake-up time and the morning/afternoon commute (40 minutes each way)
- Worth the five pounds I’ve gained from all the processed food I’ve eaten (oh, and those drive-through visits sure add up)
- And well worth the work we all put into it. What I did to help (my volunteering in the nursery) was nothing compared to what the people who planned and taught the program did.
One hymn in particular really touched my heart, as it seemed to me to be the theme of this past week:
The Church’s one foundation
Is Jesus Christ her Lord:
She is His new creation
By water and the Word;
From Heaven He came and sought her
To be His holy Bride:
With His own Blood He bought her,
And for her life He died.
Tomorrow I go back to blogging about stuff and nonsense. Thank you for sharing these past four days with us!

Well, I’m glad you survived it…and with such grace! Like I said yesterday, you are a much, much braver woman than I! Enjoy your well-deserved weekend.

Tomorrow is the last day for us… and I must have gained 5 lbs from the delicious home baked snacks available everyday! Well worth it, the whole week! But we didn’t have the cute green T-shirts!

Oh, the picture of the children in Adoration, brought tears, how beautiful!

Hey, landed on your blog, nice stuff. I found a cool new tool for our blogs… http://www.widgetmate.com It helps get latest news for our keywords directly on to our blog. I added it on mine. Worked like a charm.

I’ve really enjoyed reading all about your VBS week. What a treasure to see so many young ones learning about the Church and God.
Thanks for the pictures…they’re beautiful!

I love that hymn, also. I remember singing it as a child. You are fortunate to have such a wonderful Bible School.

Ok, first it was the description of the Holy Week activities at your parish. Then it was the picture of the first communicants kneeling as they received. Now, the children’s eucharistic adoration at CVBS(and yes, I’ve always loved that hymn, also–the chord on “bought” just gets me!): can we move up there?? My husband is a PT–any job openings up there? Seriously, it would be the coolest thing to be one of your neighbors. I’m an enthusiastic cookie-baker and coffee-drinker!

What a beautiful week. Your parish must be very blessed with awesome people at its head to bring a week like this to fruition. God Bless your efforts and many thanks for sharing.
