Last night when Daddy asked you and your sister, “How are my birthday girls?!” you replied, “I’m not the birthday girl yet.” Because you weren’t. Yet.
Happy Birthday to our very particular little girl! How we love you for your stubborn streak–and for your big brown eyes and your smile.
God knew what He was doing when He sent you to us right after your big sister–just two years and a day apart. And Mary knew what she was doing when she had me wait that extra day to have you, even though I was in labor throughout all of Maria’s 2nd birthday.
Our Blessed Mother knew that you would want your own party.
And so, on this beautiful feast of St. Cecilia, we thank God for the music that is our Avila–our little Avila Cecile.
