The Doctrine of Nada

November 13, 2006 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Anecdotal, Humor, Minnesota Me 3 Comments

As taught to me by my toddler.

I have been looking for my copy of Magnificat for two days. Finally I found it, under the settee in my bedroom, half sticking out from under a crumpled pink sweatshirt.

Happily I brought it back downstairs, stopping on the way to show its lovely cover to my 5-year-old. Carefully I placed it in the magazine rack with the rest of Mommy’s reading.

And sadly I heard the rrrrriiip and saw the smile on my 2-year-old’s face.

She liked the cover also.

She and my two year old would really get along well! Catherine would rip the magazine and then come over with a giant smile to show what a thorough job she’d done!

My 2 year old, Clare, just started LOVING my dresser, the jewelry box in particular, which has my chapstick,(now on her lips and our bedroom window) it also had my loose change, 2 one dollar bills, and some change. (we found the change in the kleenex box and the dollars in the handi-wipe box, nice and wet!) She also loved my magnificat (my subscription ran out) and would carry it everywhere and sing to it! 🙂

LOL! My two year old loves my prayer book and actually would not let go of it a few days ago when she was eating toast with jam. Needless to say I’ve got some pages still stuck together, and the bottom of some of the pages are a deep purple.
