Why does my dog keep eating Crayola crayons?!
Is it to make those morning walks more colorful?
*Some would say that the real question is “Why do your children keep leaving Crayola crayons on the floor?” To which I reply, “Don’t ask!”
Lots of Coffee, lots of kids. It's a peaceful life.

I’m Margaret in Minnesota, and this is my mom's-eye perspective of a kid-heavy life. I love the Lord; I take lots of photos; and I try to always tell it like it is, from sex to depression and everything in between! I hope you enjoy your time here. ♥
Well, at least at your house, it’s the dog. Around here, it’s the baby. And the “results” are equally colorful!
My dog has a penchant for crayola crayons, pencils and gasp barbie dolls! I’d take a crayola over a barbie doll head any day:)
Sure am glad those Crayola dudes aren’t poisonous. lois
My little pooch once at a flourescent orange crayon – it made it easy to clean up in the dark! She also ate the little hands on the little LEGO people – the best was the hook of the pirate.
Like children, those doggies will grow out of eating things.
I know I really shouldn’t bring up that nagging second question, but do you think they might possibly have a touch of YTD?
Hey Margaret-
What are your feelings on recycling those crayons?
haha
Too funny!
Oh my gosh, I am so glad that Belle isn’t the only one. My sweet, mild- mannered golden went Cujo on me the other day while trying to get the crayons out of her mouth! We thought she was “losing it” since she’s 10 but maybe they just have a thing for Crayola!
Ahem….it’s genetics. Go ahead, ask me how I know.
love2learnmom you have me in stitches!! I can’t believe there is really such a diagnosis such as YTD. Oh my!!!!!!
Oh how I wish the doggies grew out of it! My 13.5 year old “puppy” still is known to gnaw on a crayon left unwittingly on the floor by one of my small people.
